The Bureau of Economic and Business Research was established in 1932 to support research by faculty members of the Department of Economics and the College of Business on the economic problems and potential of Utah and the Rocky Mountain region. The Bureau conducts research and data analysis and publishes periodicals and monographs. This collection consists of correspondence, memoranda, and reports pertaining to Bureau operations and activities. Principal subjects covered are studies of the iron and steel industries, lands, mineral resources, and populations; surveys of other research facilities; and publications.
